    About The Founder

    Meet Yewande

    Hello, I’m Yewande, founder and lead childminder at LorděsLand.

    With over 20 years of experience in childcare and education, I bring a deep understanding of child development, learning behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.

    I hold Early Years Professional Status, and my background as a coach and trained educationist allows me to support children not only in their learning but in building confidence, resilience, and positive self-esteem.

    As a parent, I understand the importance of trust. LorděsLand was built to offer families a safe, calm, and inspiring environment where children feel respected, supported, and encouraged to flourish.

    1. About LordesLand Childminder

    LordesLand is a high-quality, Ofsted­ compliant childcare setting designed to provide a safe, nurturing, structured, and enriching environment for school aged children. We specialise in after-school care, school holiday provision, enrichment programmes, and supervised activities tailored to support children’s development, creativity, independence, and wellbeing.

    2. Ages We Cater For

    We provide childcare for children aged 5 to 15 years. This includes:
    • Children in primary school (5-11 yrs)
    • Young people in secondary school (11-15 yrs)

    Our programmes are age appropriate, flexible, and designed to meet the developmental needs of both younger and older children.

    3. Our Services

    A. After-School Care (Term Time)

    For parents who require reliable and structured childcare after school hours.
    Includes:
    • Safe school pickup (selected schools)
    • Healthy snacks provided
    • Homework support and supervised study time
    • Creative and recreational activities
    • Outdoor play and enrichment sessions
    • Behaviour guidance and emotional support

    Operating Time:
    3:00pm – 8:30pm (Monday to Friday)

    B. School Holiday Club

    Enrichment based holiday provision offering themed weeks, trips, creative learning and supervised fun.
    Activities include:
    • Arts & crafts workshops
    • Sports and outdoor play
    • Local park/library visits
    • Group games and team challenges
    • STEM fun days
    • Movie afternoons
    • Mini-entrepreneur sessions

    Operating Time:
    8:00am – 8:30pm

    C. Extended Hour Care / Emergency Care

    Available subject to notice and availability.

    D. Enrichment & Mentoring (Ages 10-15)

    A unique LordesLand service supporting older children and teens.
    Includes:

    4. Daily Routine

    After-School Routine
    • 3:00-3:30 Pickup and arrival
    • 3:30-4:00 Snack and unwind
    • 4:00-5:00 Homework/learning hour
    • 5:00-6:00 Activities (outdoors, creative, games, projects)
    • 6:00-6:30 Calm-down time & pick-up
    • 19:00-20:30 Activities (indoors, creative, games, projects) & pick­ up

    5. Safeguarding & Welfare

    LordesLand operates a strict Safeguarding Policy, Health & Safety Policy, First Aid Procedures, Risk Assessments, and Behaviour Management Framework.
    All staff:
    • Hold valid DBS checks
    • Are trained in safeguarding and paediatric first aid
    • Follow our safer recruitment procedures

    We maintain a safe, clean, and well supervised environment at all times.

    6. Behaviour Expectations

    We promote positive behaviour through fairness, communication, and clear boundaries.

    All outings are covered by risk assessments and parental consent.

    9. Communication With Parents

    We believe in open communication. You will receive:
    • Daily updates verbally
    • Incident/accident forms when necessary
    • Behaviour notes (if required)
    • Termly feedback

    Parents may contact us by phone, text or email during operating hours.

    10. Fees & Pricing

    After-School Care (3:00- 6:30pm)
    • £18 per session per child (includes snacks and activities)

    Holiday Club (8:00am- 6:00pm)
    • £45 per day
    • £200 per full week (Mon-Fri)

    Enrichment & Mentoring (10-15 yrs)
    • Included in After-School and Holiday Club
    • Additional 1:1 mentoring: £12 per 30-minute session (optional)

    Extended Hours
    • Early drop-off or late pickup: £5 per 30 minutes

    Registration Fee
    • £25 per family (non-refundable)

    Sibling Discount
    • 5% off for second child
    • 10% off for third child
